Practitioner I Health and Wellbeing Coaching Certificate

This course follows on from successful completion of our Intermediate Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Coaching (or a PCI-accredited 4 day-course via another provider). To achieve Practitioner I status, you will need to log a minimum of 50 hours of health and wellbeing coaching and have an opportunity to complete our Peak Health Coaching Practitioner I portfolio to gather valuable feedback from peers and to verify your knowledge and understanding of key health coaching concepts and skills. You will have access to tutorial support and successful completion of this course will make you eligible for NHS England’s Tier 1 Health Coaching status. In addition, you will be eligible to join the UKIHCA at the level of Health Coach Practitioner.

The cost of assessment and certification for the Practitioner I Certificate, NHS England Tier 1 certification and a

one-year Practitioner membership of the UKIHCA are all included in the full registration fee for 2025.

Pre-requisites

  • Peak Health Intermediate  Certificate in Health Coaching, or equivalent

  • Participants should be active health coaching practitioners or in roles where they regularly use a health coaching approach. 

Course Length

  • Learner led, usually around 6 months.

Learning Outcomes

This course offers the opportunity to:

  • Achieve NHS England Tier 1 status and PCI Level 1 status.

  • consolidate your health and wellbeing coaching knowledge, understanding and practice

  • develop knowledge, skills and techniques for reflective practice

  • observe qualified health and wellbeing coaches in live coaching sessions

  • increase your self-awareness as a coach through peer feedback

  • participate as a coach and client to deepen your knowledge and understanding of coaching relationships

  • Build your CPD portfolio and plan your ongoing development as a health coaching practitioner

Course Structure

This course is comprised of our Intermediate Certificate (link for details) and additional learner led work. You will complete 50 hours of health and wellbeing coaching plus a short portfolio. The portfolio will enable you to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of health coaching skills and techniques as well as giving you the space to reflect on practice and gather feedback from peers. Comprehensive online resources are provided to support your learning, and you will have support from a dedicated course tutor.

The full fee of our engaging and innovative, Practitioner I Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Coaching programme is £1150 plus VAT.

(This fee includes Foundation and Intermediate Certificates and Practitioner I assessment as well as Practitioner Membership of the UKIHCA).

For those new to the Peak Pathway who have completed their PCI accredited 4-Day Health and Wellbeing Coaching training with another  provider the fee is

just £150 plus VAT.
